“is that a swatch?” this is one of the top five things strangers say to me. 
my favorite non-swatch watch bit the dust. it was a square faced all black diesel watch. i wore it more than any of my swatches because it was stylish yet more understated. swatch is like “look at me! look at me! look look!” while that diesel watch was like “i KNOW you are looking at me.” i miss that watch. 
i am trying to get in the mode of wearing different swatches, not just yoko ono, dot chair, and aye aye aye. like the model featured above, the GN900 Devotion from the Fall Winter 1996 collection. i remember when i bought it the dude (who i disliked) said “i like that watch but it’s too … too…” and i kept pushing him. i know he wanted to say “gay” but he would look nervously at me. i think he started sweating.
