Adventure School for Ladies Comic Intensive
I am considering doing the Adventure School for Ladies Comic Intensive. I started drawing comics this past fall when I had a t e r r i b l e case of writer’s block and while I really loved the work I made, I felt a lack of confidence in it. Not sure where that was coming from (my block? doing something new?) I know from my experience with Ladies Rock Camp that being in a supportive group with a common focus can develop confidence and support when learning / working on developing a new skill.
Here is the description of the Comic Intensive:
For two weeks, we will do very little but make awesome comics. Some giggling.
Our basic daily structure will allow for morning lectures for the first few days, as well as resources training. Thereafter, daily assignments will be critiqued in morning sessions with a host of comics-creating luminaries from around the area. Afternoons* will be devoted exclusively to comics creation, whether brainstorming, drawing, or printing.
