oxane:Del hombre por el hombre. by federico hurtado
the problems i am having are problems of my own creation. they cannot be attributed to (and i have no desire to attribute them to) a person other than myself. this was something i knew could (would) happen.
the city of chicago has my car.
after the intial “i am supposed to be at work in an half hour!” panic i started making plans in my head of how to get to work today, tomorrow, and into the future. i started figuring out how i could get the car back IF i wanted to get it back. since the fall i have been trying to rid myself of my car. there are times when it is nice like grocery shopping, but overall it is much more of a pain than good. i have paid more than the car is worth in tickets alone.
last year when my car was wrecked i had to ride to skokie several times to pay for the repairs. afterwords i wanted to die i was so tired. i spent two days recovering. now riding the ten miles to stickney is nothing. sure i screamed and groaned tackling the part of ogden near cicero which is a steady incline. thankfully, afterword my legs were so numb it didn’t matter. the snow and impending snow didn’t bother me either.
i could ride my bike almost anywhere.
almost.
